Here we are again with another mysterious of NASA on Astrobiology and internet press conference with theories, NASA should communicate something for life on Mars, the moon Titan or another body in space.
Once again, we have seen a dozen times where NASA Announces a major conference, we all agree, and they begin to talk about how they have found a molecule in patella error or some model of wave length, only some intellectuals would give two navigability.
Regardless of the advertisement would I some ' observation ' a few ' phenomena ' put money on it, requires further review aka "Let us shape on a mystery that will have us more funding."
Now, NASA budget has been cut and people is to get the left foot, right, NASA is now playing card and as you know, to the attention of the public and funding then WINS.
Old NASA game is over, you know that the public is more intelligent and conscious government games including playing games game entrepreneurs to get more money.
Don't hold your breath gang, this will not be a NASA announcement that space life has been found, full of pictures and video gadgets. It will be one of two things, certain intellectual scientific information none could care on or it will be a discovery, which is an attempt to obtain more funds for NASA.

This last NASA history, which was the source of the enormous hype and bs around on the Internet and the news, which proved to be something far published that it up to be.
My first rule of UFO study is and always will be: never get enthusiastic about what any UFO/alien.
Why? Because there is never any y!
However, I would note that this discovery by NASA that some life on Earth by using arsenic instead of phosphorus is important because it shows the life is much more interesting, a process which scientists were willing to accept. The valid theories and philosophies of researchers and speculators and especially authors of science fiction.
What this says is life can form and form by means of processes than the standard model, and we should not be surprised if we find life in environments of our capabilities and will refrain from kissing. Add to all that a second discovery in the News this week that it may very well be three times the number of stars in the universe previously thought, and you have a second example essentially says us again and again, we have no idea garbage, happens and arrogant and commentators scientists should simply close the EFF while we continue to investigate.

Hey gang,
Nowdays there are so many UFO books and UFO documentaries as well as UFO news stories that you may not know where to turn to in order to get that pertinent information that you need. In this case it’s time for me to put up a bibliography of sorts so that you’ll know what UFO books to buy.
We’re now 60 years plus into this phenomenon and there have been numerous books and some are exceptional and some just nonsense. There is so much UFO information in the world now that it would take you decades to study it all. Fortunately there are some UFO books you can buy that will get you the basic reference material so that you’ll know the history of Unidentified Flying Objects and be able to hold your own in any debate as well as have a foundation on which to stand as you do your own research.
The history of UFOs is important because it gives you a timeline of events when the subject hit the mainstream. It shows you how people, and government reacted to the events and how they tried to tackle the problem. The main problem wasn’t that people were seeing UFOs, the problem was who or what was behind them.
To this day the government says one thing, often in sharp contrast to what government originally assessed. Knowing the sequence of events regarding their mysterious change in opinions and conclusions shows a solid modus operandi and leads to a clear assessment as to what government’s agenda is in regard to the subject. Studying about how civilian observers and researchers approached the problem and gathered their own conclusions paints a pretty solid picture of their endeavors.
Often you’ll hear people, especially the skeptics, debunkers, and arrogant UFOLogists talk about the “scientific model” in researching UFOs. One claims the other doesn’t apply it but don’t realize it’s not that old a model. Only been around over a hundred years. The bottom line is in being objective and most importantly having at the ready the basic reference material you need to make better assessments of what you’ve encountered, what evidence has been gathered, and how to interpret it without going off into scientific-wild-ass-guesses (s.w.a.g.), nor delusional-unscientific-mythological-based-ad hominem-sorta-scientific, assumptions. (d.u.m.b.a.s.s.)
There are some UFOlogists I don’t get along with personality-wise. Basically they’re very arrogant and condescending, some are blatant racists and sexists, and some are just downright unpleasant people to be around. However, their research skills may have gleaned information that others were unable to gather or too afraid to. I can recommend their works, not inviting them to dinner or playing with your kids and small household pets.
On the other hand there are some UFOlogists that are the nicest people I’ve ever met but couldn’t investigate the reason they got up in the morning. Their research suffers and although I may like them I couldn’t in all fairness recommend their books.
So with that being said, give me a while to whip up some books that you can use that covers the phenomenon and the related fields of study. I’ll post it here directly.

In all honesty, I must say not only was close but also surprised.

Texas Students to Speak Live With Space Station Crew
WASHINGTON — Fifth- through eighth-grade students at Asa Low Intermediate School in Mansfield, Texas, will speak with NASA’s Expedition 30 Commander Dan Burbank and Flight Engineer Don Pettit aboard the International Space Station at 11:50 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 31. Media representatives are invited to attend. The event will be broadcast live on NASA Television.
On Jan. 27, the students will take part in a series of activities focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The school also will host a space night to share lessons about space with students. Administrators temporarily have renamed the school “N”Asa Low in honor of the event.
To attend, media representatives must contact Richie Escovedo at richieescovedo@misdmail.org or 817-299-6349. Asa Low Intermediate School is located at 1526 N. Walnut Creek Drive.
Burbank and Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Anatoly Ivanishin arrived at the station Nov. 15. Pettit, European Space Agency astronaut Andre Kuipers and cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko joined them Dec. 23.
This in-flight education downlink is one in a series with educational organizations in the United States and abroad to improve STEM teaching and learning. It is an integral component of NASA’s Teaching From Space education program, which promotes learning opportunities and builds partnerships with the education community using the unique environment of space and NASA’s human spaceflight program.

1953 Movie: Invaders From Mars
Last night I indulged myself by watching one of my favorite classic UFO movies called “Invaders From Mars”. It was produced in 1953, directed by William Cameron Menzies, written by Richard Blake, and starred Helena Carter, Arthur Franz, and Jimmy Hunt.
This movie, Invaders From Mars is a favorite amongst friends and family as it would be re-released in theaters while I was growing up and at the drive-ins. The television commercials were eerie as the trailer had all the elements that would make a kid want to make a bee line to the movies. It broke a lot of ground in the Martian invasion, UFO and flying saucer genres.
It featured then, what many today call the alien abduction phenomenon almost 15 years before the famous Barney and Betty Hill story that appeared in LOOK magazine in the early 1960s. The story had all the elements, people kidnapped, implants put into people’s brains, government conspiracies and the coolest, eeriest looking alien overlord type that still stands up today regarding make up and special effects. Invaders From Mars was way ahead of it’s time and on a modest filming budget still has the chills and surrealism the film achieved even in today’s high definition age.
Great plot, lots of heroic action and focuses on the story of a young boy who sees a flying saucer land in a field near his home. Soon, people begin disappearing and return with strange behavior and the boy, David, notices they’ve got a mark on the backs of their necks. David ends up at the police station after a neighborhood girl is abducted and sets fire to her home. David’s father and the girl’s father both work on a top secret project at a nearby base as do several of the people in the town. At the station David’s wild story of flying saucers and strange people puts him in a cell where a beautiful health care worker played by Helena Carter arrives and takes pity on the boy. David’s parents arrive, now under the power of the Martians to retrieve him but Dr. Pat Blake (Carter), refuses. Soon the police chief and some military brass are under the Martian’s control and it’s up to Dr. Carter, David, and Dr. Stuart Kelston, played by Arthur Franz, to race against time to alert the authorities and thwart the Martians. Yes, Invaders From Mars has it all except the mush.
If you haven’t seen Invaders From Mars you’re missing out. Yes there was a remake in the 1980s which was faithful to the original but the 1953 classic can’t be touched. I bring this up because I’ve seen several edited versions of this movie over the years and didn’t realize that it had been altered several times. There are several with different endings, one that was way ahead of the Twilight Zone and EC Comics ironic-twist-at-the-end formula, but in the version I saw last night on Netflix, there was an added scene I had not known existed and it blew me away.
In this version of Invaders From Mars, the filmmakers added footage to explain the area of UFOlogy and it was quite alarming. The sequence takes place amongst the three principal characters of David, Dr. Blake, and Dr. Kelston who runs the local observatory where Jimmy, an amateur astronomer likes to frequent. Kelston it turns out had been studying UFOs and goes into a lengthy, quite accurate and broad explanation about UFOs that looks like one of those 1950s educational films. I mean he really goes into depth to the point he actually makes a convincing argument for the alien visitation or extraterrestrial hypothesis. He covers the infamous “Lubbock Lights” story with photos, the case of Capt. Thomas F. Mantell of the Kentucky Air National Guard whose plane crashed while in pursuit of a UFO in January 1948. A highly publicized case at the time as theories of “death rays” were tossed about as an explanation to Mantell’s death. Not all the data in this particular scene is accurate science and has some speculation that by today’s standards of UFOlogy might not hold up but it’s amazing that the producers went to such lengths with this particular segment. In addition, there is something in this movie that most miss. At no time do the “invaders” state that they’re from outer space! It’s the military and the scientists who assume so. In a scene where the invaders are asked about their leader, the creepy bodiless octopus head in a bubble, the invaders state that their leader is the epitome of human evolution. Note, didn’t say “Martian”. Get the picture yet?
That added footage came after the main story had been filmed and one can see that the character David had grown a bit during the time period. This scene is just the extra punch that makes Invaders From Mars that must-have UFO movie alongside such classics as “Unidentified Flying Objects: The True Story Of Flying Saucers”, “The Bamboo Saucer”, and “Earth vs The Flying Saucers” featuring the great Ray Harryhausen’s special effects.
So hunt around for the version of Invaders From Mars that I’m mentioning which according to the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) which you can read by clicking HERE. I won’t go into the endings of the three versions, American, European, and re-edited American versions as the endings are a surprise. So do yourself a treat and hunt for all three versions and enjoy a classic in UFO culture that stands the test of time.

Here you can see a tribute to the movie and it’s eerie musical score. One of the scariest music scores as it’s deceptive. It starts off in some form of military march but soon evolves into a melody that suggests hidden mystery and a haunting otherworldly menace.

A LOOK AT THE 1952 MOVIE “RED PLANET MARS”
I may be off target a bit, but I have to praise one of the most moving extraterrestrial science fiction movies ever made, 1952's “Red Planet Mars”.
I’d seen it on television back in the late 1960s and now that I’m watching it in a new state of mind I’ve got to admit as a student of UFOlogy it’s not only socially powerful but it’s hysterically funny in it’s foresight and introspection.
It’s a movie that takes place at the beginning of the Cold War. When the United States and then Soviet Union were rapidly building up their arsenals to blow up the Earth to save it from one another’s ideologies. Typical human behavior to say the least.
The story wraps around the discovery of a young scientist and his wife who use a communications device to contact Martians. They detect the Martians via series of telescopic images showing signs of industry going on. They struggle to get a message back from the Martians but to no avail until the scientist’s son suggests the mathematical equation for Pi be used. That does the trick and soon the Martians and humans are chatting up a storm.
That may sound like a good thing but as any UFOlogist worth their salt who has read the declassified CIA sponsored Robertson Panel document, you can tell what happens next. That document exposed the drive that some in government planned to squash any UFO information, spy on UFO groups and discredit witnesses. The Martians tell about how they’ve solved the challenges of longevity and energy and peaceful relations. Needless to say as soon as the oil and insurance and banking cartels on Earth hear about it, riots break out, labor unions protest, and industries collapse sending the West into a tailspin.
It looks like the past ten years worth of global news except for the Osama Bin Laden thing.
Soon the US is forced to stop broadcasting the messages to the public as total chaos ensues. Adding more contrast to the mix is that the man who really invented the device to communicate with Mars is a drunk ex NAZI recluse living in the Andes mountains who is dealing with shady Soviet henchmen who are intercepting the US’ Martian broadcasts in order to use the information to undermine them. The crusty old drunk NAZI scientist is a movie unto himself as he’s such a character.
Things get worse for the Americans, bankers, and Soviets as the Martians answer the question as to why they’ve not blown themselves up using their technology by stating that belief in God and Christ is what kept them going and that we Earthlings had the opportunity 2,000 years ago but haven’t gotten the picture yet.
That leads to the Soviets dealing with a revolution that has the peasants in Russia upending the government.
Things go from bad to worse quickly as the evil drunk ex NAZI scientist’s secret lair is destroyed in an avalanche and he somehow makes it to America and confronts the good guy scientist with a plot twist that really spoils the milk.
I’ll leave the story there as there is an even bigger plot twist to come and I want you all to enjoy the flick.
The importance of this movie is that it addresses concepts that information about the US and foreign government’s reluctance to release UFO/ET data. It really explains it much.
The direction is fine, the performances are of surprisingly high quality with Peter Graves as the heroic scientist, Andrea King as his scientist wife who delivers a performance that may knock you out. She gives some dialogue that rips right through the mind and heart.
Herbert Berghof as the evil scientist is superb and would have made a great “Fearless Leader” from the classic “Bullwinkle and Rocky” animated cartoon by the great Jay Ward.
You just want to reach into the screen and punch Berghof’s character in the face a dozen times over he’s so rotten.
This is a must have movie for fans of sci-fi, UFOlogy, the Cold War, and religion.
Any villain who quotes from Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy” has got to be seen.
Some critics pan the movie because of it’s religious bend however writers John L. Balderston and John Hoare put together a tight script nonetheless.
It’s black and white but that gives it an extra sense of drama and goes hand in hand with other sci fi flicks of that era that didn’t fear to give God a voice.
So go out and get some popcorn and see a movie from the golden age of UFOlogy.

Also, as a giggle of sorts, look for what I call the unintentional “Toy Story” reference regarding the PIXAR movie that features favorite American toys that come to life. It’s a scene where the scientist’s son is playing with toys on the living room floor. I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

No Virginia, There Are No Extraterrestrials Visiting Earth

I know that I will piss off lots of people but this is a prelude to a longer essay pointing out that of this date not one shred of proof has yet come to the table that extraterrestrials are visiting Earth, have visited Earth, or are on their way.
Sure there’s lots of “evidence” but without solid physical proof it’s still just ONE theory as to the origin of SOME UFOs.
What that means is that there are many theories as to the origins of some UFO reports. Theories like this include top secret government craft that we know has been the case several times. That some UFOs have been and are advanced private air and spacecraft that are unregistered. That some UFOs may be life forms we’ve yet to classify.
There are many theories and the most exciting being that some UFOs are of extraterrestrial origin. That theory alone has spawned more theories and speculation to the point of overwhelm. There are societies, religions, groups that claim to have the inside knowledge and far too many times has led to disaster and fraud. You’ve got to be on your toes for this.
I know there are some who’ll point to the Billy Meier case. A Swiss farmer who years ago presented several startling films, pictures, and books regarding his experiences. Sure it’s all entertaining and amazing but where is the physical proof? If these aliens meant so well it’s certain they’re aware that no one in government and science believes them, so why the stonewalling? It’s simple, they’re either incredibly stupid or they don’t exist. It doesn’t get any more complicated than that.
Oh, the Betty and Barney Hill case? One of the classics of this phenomenon. A couple from America claimed to have been observant of and abducted by extraterrestrials. An exciting case no doubt, but where is the physical proof?
Roswell. The mother of all UFO incidents. Lots of documents, speculation, books, tv, movies, but where is the physical proof?
Not one government, friend nor foe has come forward with any physical proof whatsoever in over 60 years of this phenomenon.
Why? Ask yourself “Why?”.
Now, does this mean that extraterrestrials and/or their mechanisms hasn’t or aren’t visiting Earth? No. What it means is that there is no physical proof to support it as conclusive.
There’s much more and even the trace cases, samples of flora, fauna, soil of areas where a UFO report has occurred are nothing more than evidence that something occurred or affected said at the location of a UFO report.
Let’s get oriented here as we may be missing out on a more prosaic but unsettling theory with far more physical evidence but shunned by even the most fervent UFO fan. That theory I’ll deal with in a longer essay as it would be so disturbing, if true, than any visit by extraterrestrials.
So again, at present, not one iota of proof has emerged to conclude that ETs are in any way, shape, or form a part of our development on Earth. That could change tomorrow or a year from now or a century from now, but as of right now there just isn’t anything. Sorry to hurt the feelings of those awaiting a spectacular landing and the emergence of the “Space Brothers” who’ll bring in a new age of benevolence but that’s so far from the farm there’s no way you can milk the cows.
So stand by for a further dissertation.
In the meantime, when someone says “extraterrestrials did this or that”, ask them to show you the PROOF or keep it in the realm of the anecdotal for now.

2007-July 3,2007-Uk-The image was taken around sunset yesterday. It was a funny day. Cloudy one minute, rainy the subsequent, the clouds clearing… before returning and raining again. The elements got stuck in a loop. But around sunset this amazing effect occurred with strobes of light piercing through a thick cloud around the entire sky.My wife noticed the stationary, very reflective (like blue chrome) object behind the dark grey cloud first, and being completely flummoxed about it, told me to seize my camera. As I raised the camera and increased the zoom, the thing suddenly started moving at a surprisingly fast speed so I just pressed the button several times. We got several pictures, however the object only appeared at the first one.
It was cylindrical, but with a strangely contoured convex base. There has been a cross of incredibly bright light around the base, but a stunning (bright because the sun) ball of sunshine on the front. (I say ‘front’ according to its trajectory.) i guess the full top of the craft was bathed during this ‘light’ since you could see its aura across the entire thing. It was gone instantly… and we were left feeling a little bit frightened for a couple of minutes.

HOUSTON — Jerry Ross, the first person to launch into space seven times, has retired from NASA. In a career that spanned more than three decades, Ross spent almost 1,400 hours in space and conducted nine spacewalks to rank third on the list of most extravehicular activity time in space.
“Jerry has been instrumental in the success of many of NASA’s human spaceflight missions and numerous spacewalks,” said Peggy Whitson, chief of the Astronaut Office. “Not only were his skills and operational excellence key in major spaceflight activities but his expertise and vigilance also helped all those who followed in his footsteps. We are the better for his years of dedication to the corps and NASA.”
Ross joined NASA in 1979 as a payload officer and flight controller. In 1980, he was selected as an astronaut. He and Franklin Chang-Diaz are the only two astronauts to have flown into space seven times. In addition to Ross’ spaceflight mission accomplishments, he went on to serve NASA in the critical role of managing the Vehicle Integration Test Office.
“Jerry was equally invaluable leading this critical team, especially through space station assembly, the transition to the space shuttle retirement, and during the initial phases of our future programs,” said Janet Kavandi, director of Flight Crew Operations. “He was considered a mentor to many he worked with there. We wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
Of his seven flights into orbit, Ross flew on space shuttles Endeavour and Columbia once each and a record-setting five times on shuttle Atlantis, including his first and last missions. His first flight was on the STS-61B mission in 1985. His final flight into space was on the STS-110 mission in 2002.
During his seven missions, he assisted in deploying a number of satellites and other payloads. He performed experiments in life, material and Earth sciences, and physics, robotics and astronomy. Ross was a member of the STS-74 mission’s crew, the second mission to dock to the Russian space station Mir. He also traveled to the then-fledgling International Space Station, where he helped connect the U.S.-built Unity node to the Russian Zarya module. On the STS-110 mission, Ross’ final trip to space, he was instrumental in delivering and installing the S0 (S-Zero) truss. Ross accumulated more than 1,393 hours in space, including 58 hours and 18 minutes on nine spacewalks.
